Marcus Youth and Family Center

Our Children and Adolescent Program provides a warm, supportive environment designed to meet the unique needs of young people and their families. Younger children may engage in services within our play therapy room, and older teens and families meet with our therapists in welcoming offices where they are able to receive therapy in a variety of treatment approaches chosen to meet each person’s individual needs.

Who We Serve:

  • Children from 4 through 17 years of age and their families
  • Spanish-speaking therapists are available for our Spanish-speaking youth and their families.
  • ASL-trained therapist available for deaf and hard-of-hearing youth and their families
  • Children under 12 years of age must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, unless they qualify as unaccompanied homeless youth under the McKinney-Vento Act.

  • Play Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-aligned interventions
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness-based approaches
  • Yoga-informed care
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Other individualized therapeutic approaches based on client needs

    Insurance & Payment

    Arundel Lodge accepts a variety of insurance plans. Our staff will review your coverage during the intake process and help you understand any copays or financial responsibilities prior to receiving services.

    How to Access Services

    No referrals are required.

    To begin services, clients may walk in for an intake at the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center (BHUCC), located within Luminis Health in Annapolis.

    Walk-In Hours:
    Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

    During the visit:

    • Paperwork is completed
    • Initial assessments are conducted the same day or next day based on availability

    Please bring the following:

    • Photo ID
    • Insurance Card
    • Social Security Number-
    • Custody paperwork (if applicable)
