Supportive Living Program
The Supportive Living Program at Arundel Lodge is designed to help individuals maintain independence while receiving personalized support within their home and community. Using a recovery-focused approach, our team works alongside participants to build daily living skills, improve overall wellness, and support long-term stability.
What to Expect
Once enrolled, participants meet with their assigned Rehabilitation Counselor or Case Manager a minimum of six times per month through home visits, community-based services, or participation in Day Program activities. Many individuals choose to combine Supportive Living services with Day Program participation for a more integrated and comprehensive recovery experience.
Who We Serve
The Supportive Living Program is available to individuals 18 and older who live independently, or with family in the Anne Arundel County area. Meet the diagnostic criteria for a recognized mental health disorder.
Insurance and Payment
Enrollment in this program is available to individuals who are recipients of Medical Assistance.
How to Access Services
To enroll in our Supported Living program a referral has to be submitted by a licensed clinician. Please click the link and complete the referral. Once the referral has been submitted staff will reach out to you regarding next steps.
Program Focus
All services are individualized to meet the unique goals, strengths, and needs of each participant while promoting independence, stability, and meaningful community involvement.
Symptom Management & Coping Skills
Participants receive individualized support to better understand and manage symptoms related to behavioral health disorders. Staff work with individuals to develop healthy coping strategies, recognize triggers, improve emotional regulation, and build skills that support long-term recovery and stability.
Medication Education & Support
Our team helps individuals better understand their medications, the importance of medication compliance, and how medications support overall wellness. Staff may assist with medication reminders, prescription coordination, pharmacy communication, and attending medication management appointments when appropriate.
Case Management & Care Coordination
Supportive Living staff help coordinate care across providers, programs, and community resources. This may include communication with therapists, prescribers, primary care physicians, social services, housing resources, and other supports to ensure individuals receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
Appointment Management & Community Navigation
Participants receive assistance scheduling and managing medical, behavioral health, and community appointments. Staff may also help individuals develop organizational skills, transportation planning, and confidence navigating community resources independently.
Benefits & Resource Assistance
Staff assist individuals with accessing and maintaining benefits and services, including Medical Assistance, Social Security benefits, food assistance programs, housing resources, and other community supports that contribute to long-term stability and independence.
Daily Living & Independent Living Skills
Services focus on strengthening the skills needed for successful independent living. Support may include assistance with budgeting, meal planning, household organization, hygiene routines, communication skills, time management, and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
Social, Vocational & Community Support
Participants are encouraged to build meaningful social connections and increase community involvement. Staff support individuals in developing interpersonal skills, exploring vocational interests, accessing employment resources, and participating in recreational or community activities that support recovery and quality of life.
Health & Wellness Support
Supportive Living services promote overall physical and emotional well-being. Staff encourage healthy lifestyle habits, medical follow-up care, stress management, and routines that contribute to improved health and daily functioning.
Day Program Integration
All participants are encouraged to attend Arundel Lodge’s Day Program as often as desired. Combining Supportive Living services with Day Program participation allows individuals to access additional structure, peer support, socialization opportunities, skill-building activities, and therapeutic programming as part of a holistic recovery approach.
